Mareena, age 27, has been singing as far back as she can remember. The gift was passed on by her great-grandmother,a stage celebrity of her day in Australia, and her great-grandfather - a respected opera singer and brilliant pianist in New Zealand in the early 20th century.  Her vocal tuition began at age 14, with the focus of her early training being in Opera. Yet, Mareena can also chameleon to various singing styles including well-known songs from Broadway and West End musicals covering hits such as Porgy & Bess, My Fair Lady, Carousel & West Side Story - moving to modern day musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS & many more. Mareena performs numerous songs from the world-renowned artist Sarah Brightman, who she considers to be her greatest modern day musical influence. Her varied repertoire also includes a selection of popular classics from the likes of Sinatra, Doris Day & Judy Garland. Born in California, but having a strong connection and being a citizen of New Zealand - the country of her mother's birth, she is able to enjoy the best of both countries.
